In 2009, RSB secured the distribution rights for R-M paint from BASF and has since grown into a market-leading distributor of globally recognised paint brands for the automotive refinishing and industrial markets.
Who we are
What started in a small shop in Germiston in Gauteng, RSB has extended their national footprint to become the number one premium automotive paint supplier in South Africa, with branches in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Cape Town and Bloemfontein.
The R-M brand is a highly acclaimed, premium-end product that has been awarded several OEM approvals which only recognise top-end automotive refinishing outlets.
RSB Expands
RSB have recently expanded their range to include Glasurit’s 68 Line, a BASF brand, and MultiPlus™, a locally manufactured globally innovated brand. Both of these paint brands are focused on the industrial / CV markets.

Largest Supplier
RSB holds an estimated 25% of the “A” grade automotive refinishing paint market and is currently one of the largest suppliers to the market with customers which include some of the largest automotive refinishing groups in South Africa.

Where it began
RSB Autogroup commenced trading in March 2010. The company was formed primarily to become the sole distributor of R-M Automotive Refinishing Paints in South Africa.
BASF appointed RSB the sole-distributorship, as the directors and management of the company each had approximately 13 – 25 years of experience in the industry at the time and had, additionally, distributed another BASF brand of Automotive paint with huge success in the Automotive Refinishing market in the past.
RSB is proud to be associated with a globally leading organisation like BASF (the R-M product principles) as it is an organisation renowned for innovation, product research and development, and it has a relentless focus on developing water-based products that provide an outstanding refinish performance, whilst protecting both the working conditions of their customers, staff, and the environment.
In the space of 11 years, RSB has successfully installed over 200 R-M Waterborne paint mixing systems in many renowned panel shops.
